Welcome to my page,

I’m Sandy. The owner of the Moja Bag Repair.

I have always been a huge fan of luxury brands but as a young girl with a small budget I could only afford very used pieces. After a while I was inspired about how to make them better.

My first restoration was a complete disaster, lol. My good friend gave me black Gucci cloth shoulder bag. The fabric was torn and the colour was faded. I went to a tailor and she sewed up the bag, but what about the faded colour? I had the idea to dye the bag by myself. I put it in a colour tank and soaked it in there with salt and vinegar, as per the recommendation. Please NEVER do this, after my experiment the metallic parts started to corrode and white spots appeared over the whole bag. The bag was completely destroyed.

That was my first experience of how not to do it properly and started my journey of giving new life and beauty to old worn-out pieces.

I have been on a long journey to understand the ins and outs of leather as well as many other different materials and the processes and techniques to choose to get the perfect result.

After all of this, I found that warm feeling that you get when you are doing something that brings you so much joy.

I started out restoring bags for myself but after a while my friends and

family started asking me to do it for them too. So, I came up with the idea to create a proper business.

And here I am, happy to help you!
